Classic 50 with a three line border
Here we have the significant stages of a sheeted tile installation.
Stage 1. The existing original path tiles, including the York stone.
Stage 2. The tiles, screed and loose material are removed and disposed of. The York stone and path edging are installed. This is the best approach as these will then control the height of the new screed.
Stage 3. The screed is installed and is left to cure. Curing time is normally around 4 weeks but can be quicker in warmer conditions. The sheeted tiles are then installed according to the diagram provided. The design is set symmetrically and the tiles fixed with a grey rapid set exterior grade tile adhesive. It is recommended to dry lay a few sheets prior to fixing in order to check the positioning.
Stage 4. Here we see the design accommodating the porch wall feature. The tape is left on the surface of the tiles until the border is installed, this acts to prevent the soiling of the grout lines.
Stage 5. The border lines are then installed, the very last tile to be installed is the outer tile.
Stage 6. The surface sheet is then removed from the tiles once they are set and solid.
Stage 7. Here we see the finished installation after grouting and cleaning.
