VICTORIAN FLOOR TILE RESTORATION AND MAINTENANCE KIT

This kit is ideal if you have a Victorian tiled floor that is in sound condition but requires re-sealing.

Includes the following :-

1 x 5 Litre bottle of ammonia free metallised polish stripper. It is not recommended for use on porous quarry tiles.

1 litre bottle of sealant. Fila longlife provides a very nice hardwearing sheen and must be applied carefully with a lint free cloth. For the best results, apply 4-5 coats. The floor must be entirely dry before applying this product. Not suitable for damp areas. Please use a very mild detergent to maintain the area once applied.

1 x blade scraper ideal for the removal of carpet glue, paint and other surface residues.

2 x 100mm scraper blades. These are more effective when they are sharp and so extra blades will make light work of excessive surface residues.

2 x Floor tile cleaning pads. These are to be used in conjunction with the alkali detergent. These are high quality and very abrasive, perfect for the removal of grime and tough residues. We have achieved amazing results with these on many Victorian floors.

10 pairs of latex surgical gloves. It is important to wear these whilst scrubbing the floor to avoid contact with the alkali detergent. These are also used when applying the floor polish.

1 x Set of instructions and a step by step guide on how to achieve the best results when using your kit.

You will also need a mop and bucket and a soft lint free cloth. These are not included in the kit.

London Mosaic have been restoring Victorian tiled floors for many years and have several examples of before and after pictures in our gallery on the website.

The kit has been designed for Victorian geometric floor tiles only and is ideally suited for the average hall floor measuring approximately 6-8 square meters. These cleaning products and equipment must not be used on glazed tiles.

You will achieve great results with this product. We do not garantee though that the alkali detergent will remove all surface and ingrained staining. It is important to bear in mind that heavily soiled areas my require alternative treatments. If you are at all unsure about the condition of your floor then please consult us.
